Conscious awareness
These two words sound so alike in Spanish (not to mention a third, "conscience!") Can someone clear them up for me?
The quotation I'm struggling with is Education is going from an unconscious to conscious awareness of one's ignorance. Would it be La educación consiste en pasar de no estar a estar consciente de la ignorancia que uno tiene. Or is there a better way? |

I like your proposal.
I don't think mine is better, but didn't resist giving it a try: La educación es pasar de la ignorancia inconsciente a la ignorancia consciente.

Not sure if there is a better way, but there are other options, such as,
La educación consiste en pasar de una inconsciencia de la ignorancia propia a la percepción consciente de esta [ignorancia].
