Problem with word placement
Hi,
I'm trying to translate some stuff out of a textbook I have into Spanish and one of the lines I have is: I usually eat pizza or drink a glass of milk or water. When I was translating this I put: yo usualmente como pizza o bebo un vaso leche o agua. The answer in the back of the book is actually: usualmente yo como pizza o bebo un vaso leche o agua. Why does the usualmente come before the yo? |

Hi LJM,
In general, Spanish word order is a lot more free than English one. Both options are correct. The meaning doesn't change if it's placed before or after. However, we usually don't use "usualmente" (too literal). We prefer the verb "soler". Suelo comer una pizza o beber un vaso de leche o agua. A pleasure.

Otra opción: "Normalmente como pizza o bebo un vaso de leche"
