Andar por los codos
Sé que "andar por los codos" es un dicho que significa tacaño--tan tacaño
que camina por los codos para no gastar el suelo de los zapatos. A veces ni hay que decirlo, solo tocar un codo es suficiente. Es una expresión muy ilustrativa. Aunque tenemos dichos en inglés para tacaño, no tenemos uno así ilustrativo. Quiero saber si este dicho es internacional entre hispanos o solamente una cosa caribeña. Si hay errores, por favor corríjame. Gracias |

Nunca lo había oído y me suena muy gracioso. Aquí sólo decimos hablar por los codos, me parece que Alfonso lo mencionó el otro día en otro thread.

Nunca había oído andar por los codos, pero en México, sí se usa codo como sinónimo de tacaño/stingy/cheap.
¡Qué codo eres!

here in mexico is avery comun phrase.... ur elbow eres codo.... dont be so codo!! yup, u only need to touch ur elbow, to show it, or just to hit it with the table if ur sitting for instance......... !!! but its not necesary to say andar por los codos, u can say only eres codo, or eres codísimo, or eres durísimo, lo que es lo mismo..
