Is it true that "James" is pronounced as "Hamez"?
Recently, I was watching a football match, where Real Madrid player James Rodriguez was pronoced as Hames Rodriguez.. how it is pronounced.

James is usually Diego, but people are very creative with names. Also in Spain, (Spanish as we know it in the USA is actually Castillian) there are several languages spoken, Hames is nothing I've ever seen in Castillian, but if it were used the H would be silent.

Yes, he's a Colombian player and his name was intended to be pronounced in Spanish.
