Saying that Japanese characters are copied from Chinese is like saying that spanish language is copied from Italian. They may be similar, but they are different cultures. You may use different scripts to write japanese, one of them being chinese characters, not the most popular. Japanese characters are easier. Well I have to say Chinese IS hard, but in my opinion it's a bit easier than Japanese. Good morning in Japanese sounds like "ohio"
