To go into the sea
Is this correct?
In the summer I often go into the sea for a swim. En el verano, me meto en el mar a menudo para nadar. Is meterse the best verb here? Thanks in advance |

"Me meto" is OK.

I agree, "me meto" is correct, although I'd say,
En verano, a menudo me voy al mar para darme un chapuzón. More or less, In summer, I often go to the sea to take a dip Or En verano, suelo darme un baño en el mar. In the summer I use to take a bath [swim] in the sea. Or, En verano, suelo irme a la playa a darme un baño.

So is 'baño' a verb as well as a noun?

It's the first person singular present indicative of bañar, although you're more likely to see the reflexive form of the verb (bañarse).
