Ni idea de quién inventó la caja. Parece un invento tan antiguo como la rueda o, incluso, más.
También hay:
  • Caja del súper.
  • Caja registradora.
  • Caja fuerte.
  • Caja de ahorros.
  • Caja china.
  • Caja de cambios.
Y las expresiones:
  • Pasar por caja (pagar).
  • Se me rompe la caja (morirse de risa).
