Jelly is made mostly from the juice of the fruit and has a gelatin-like texture. Jam has pureed fruit in it as well as the juice. Both are preserves (using pectin or sugars as a preservative).
Affect: to act on, to effect a change on/in someone/something Effect: to bring about, to make happen, to accomplish Both verbs have a corresponding noun, too. |
