I think lo mejor está por venir means the best is yet to come.

@lollykh: There are many cases (all with different meanings and translations) where a combination of "por" + infinitive can be used. Do you have a precise example, so we can give you the answer you need?

Interesting how por + venir combines into the noun meaning "the future," porvenir
