Spanish spell checker.

I have to write quite a bit in Spanish, and I was just wondering if there's any way I can get a spell checker for Spanish. It would be best if it was right in Word, but if it can't be, then some other way to copy and paste the text and use a spell-checker would be great. Do any of you use a spellchecker in Spanish?

Yeah, you can do this with Word. Just click where it says "English" in the status bar and select Spanish. This is in Word 2007. I think in 2003 you may have to access this dialogue through Tools > Languages, if my memory serves.

Also, you may need your CD if Word doesn't already have the the files installed.

I use Open Office, and they have a Spanish package that includes spell checking dictionaries.

This looks like a pretty good online spell checker.

http://orangoo.com/spell/

I haven't used it a lot in Spanish, only a little, but it says it uses the google and aspell data bases. The problem so far is that it will tag mispelled words, but then not really give enough options for the correction. But at least you know which words need more research.

si usted lo utiliza opinión aquí cuánto usted tiene gusto. por favor.

I have used aspell English. It is pretty good, but might be a little bit geeky to install. Basically you have to download and install the program, then you have to download and install the language data file/files. Then to use it you create a text file and drag/drop your file onto the Aspell checker. That works well for blogs and documents, but cumbersome for checking a word or two.

Thanks for the information Felipe. I'll also try open office or orangoo if I can't get it to work in Word.
