"It was you would did it, my husband and I were wondering who had done it"

"Fue tu quien lo hizó, mi marido y yo estábamos preguntando quien lo había hecho"

Check your subject agreement. "Tú" needs the main verb conjugated accordingly to the person. And the verb "preguntar" would be much better with a pronominal form.
