¿Cómo eres?
Me llamo Jessica y tengo dieciséis años. Yo soy timida y prudente.
I don't know what else to write for the first essay for Spanish. I'm supposed to write about myself... |

Puedes describir tu altura. ¿Llevas anteojos? ¿Qué clase de música te gusta? ¿Cuáles idiomas hablas además del español? ¿Cuántos años llevas estudiándolos?

You can say how and why you feel above your age, or younger than your age. You can say what 16 years mean for you... how the last year happened... if there was a big change from 15 to 16 years old... I mean... you could just write a novel about "I am sixteen years old". As far as being "shy" you could explain why you think is better or worse to be "timid" and how you consider that a virtue? (or a problem?) You could expand about how you feel about being 'shy'... That is to say, you could explore a whole universe of "introspection" talking about you... You could check up on the "legend of Narcisus" who was in love with himself, and was always watching himself in the water of the river or the lake (there were no mirrors at the time...) There is a Spanish author (Azorín) who describing a blind pianist (if I well remember) he said he had reached a lot of knowledge of life, just by studying more and more about his piano and his music... With all the above, I just wanted to say that you can take anything you have around you... like "a stapler" (which I have on my desk) and you can write a whole tale about it... So about yourself... mmmh, I think you can "splurge on it". Is that of any help? (Or am I going a bit overboard?)

Don't forget that the exercise is to use Spanish, not necessarily to write something fantastically complicated. Say what you like - music? - what you don't like - what subjects (if any!) you enjoy at school, and why.

Write in English first so you have an idea of what you wanna relate in Spanish.
Just an idea. |

I wrote it....:S

Well done, Jessica, but I would say that is a very good characteristic, not a bad one (especially for a girl ) (I can't see any mistakes, which doesn't mean there aren't any, but even if I did, we can't correct your work on the forum).
