Nos corta el rollo

Es un dicho muy amplio y bastante moderno (la RAE no lo recoge). Creo que su origen está en las drogas, cuando alguien está bajo sus efectos tiene un rollo (aunque tener un rollo significa más cosas). Cuando alguien o algo interrumpe su estado de euforia, paz, tranquilidad, etc. que le produce esa sustancia "le corta el rollo". Hoy en día tiene un significado más amplio. Por ejemplo, si yo estoy con unos amigos riendo y viene alguien "con un mal rollo" , le puedo decir: me cortas el rollo. Pero no sé traducirlo al inglés.

The English (or at least American English) equivalent is the term
to bum out. It has the same drug-oriented origins that corta el rollo
has. I believe there term was coined(fue acuñado) in the 1960's, and it sounds kind of retro to me.
