Question To burn the midnight oil

This idiom may have been covered and/or talked about, but couldn't find any discussion. In the Tomísimo dictionary we have options from "despestañarse" "quemarse las pestañas/las cejas" or "desvelarse".

I have seen similar options around the net, and other forums.

Is there any expression in Spanish that clearly conveys the idea of "studying hard/harder until the wee hours of the morning"?

If I want to burn the midnight oil to study photography, (or whatever study) I do so in addition to my normal schedule, or besides my usual study time and/or my work.

Do you have any ideas about this?

I thought of "estudiar todos los días hasta las tantas" or "desvelarme estudiando cada noche".

Your ideas are warmly welcome... (Aunque no esperaré despierto a la luz de un quinqué decimonónico... )

En Chile siempre se ha usado el "quemarse las pestañas" estudiando.

Por supuesto la manera correcta es "desvelarse estudiando hasta altas horas de la noche"
