STEM magnet school
I'm not sure of the best word order. My attempt:
escuela magnet STEM (Ciencia, Tecnología, Ingeniería y Matemáticas) escuela magnet de Ciencia, Tecnología, Ingeniería y Matemáticas (STEM, por sus siglas en inglés) The above is assuming that I have already given a translation of "magnet" I am translating a marketing brochure for a school district's new thematic magnet schools, so I need to include the translation in Spanish, not just leave the words in English without explaining. |

There's no need to translate 'magnet', because it means that the school specializes in certain subjects. However, I've see where it has been translated as 'escuela especializada'.
I liked your last idea, and would throw out the translation for magnet (since the specialized subjects are listed). Escuela de Ciencias, Tecnología, Ingeniería y Matemáticas (STEM - siglas de inglés) |

This is the one I used: escuela magnet de Ciencia, Tecnología, Ingeniería y Matemáticas (STEM, por sus siglas en inglés). Thanks anyway, Rusty.

"ciencias" is plural in Spanish.

Thanks for reminding me, Luna Azul. I will add the "s" to my glossary.
