Would Appreciate it if someone could check my speaking assessment preparation

Hello,

I have a spanish speaking assessment coming up shortly, and I have to prepare for it by tomorrow, by writing answers to the questions that will be asked. This work that I have just created is pasted below, I would be very grateful is someone who has a good understanding of spanish and the language and grammar etc or even better, is spanish could review my work just to check what I intend to use is correct please. I feel what I have done is of good quality but would like some checking and any mistakes which I almost certainly have made to be highlighted and corrections suggested please. I understand this could be a large task but "officially" I am not allowed any assistance from my teacher now, and using a forum on the internet is okay like any other resource.

Anyway, could you please check my answers, written by me underneath the questions;

¿Has ido de excursión últimamente?

Thank you very much!

You can start by checking your use of "-ando/-iendo" verbs for the original "-ing"s in English.

Try changing them for conjugated verbs, even if you have to insert a little longer structure.

Hi, thanks for your reply. Should I not make a verb an -ing one then? Or are the endings wrong?

The endings are fine, but -ing doesn't always corresponds with -ando/iendo forms in Spanish. Sometimes it corresponds to a noun, sometimes to an infinitive, sometimes there is no "one-word" translation for it. Explaining each case might get confusing. That is why I asked you to try making sentences with conjugated verbs instead.

Hello, after a trip to Barcelona last week, I have looked over it and made some changes - please see below:

4. ¿Has ido de excursión últimamente?

En el instituto, así como estudiando (as well <> así como) (you need to use the gerund (verbal that acts as a noun) instead of the gerundio (present participle).) las asignaturas principales, estudio geografía, español, clase de comercio y informática. Disfruto estudiando (needs to be a gerund - the Spanish infinitive is the equivalent of the English gerund ) porque amplia mi conocimiento y mejoría (should have the same conjugation as the verb in the previous phrase) mis perspectivas para el futuro.

En Septiembre, fuimos a Dorset a (wrong preposition) estudiar para (try 'how') preparar una evaluación. ¡Fue una experiencia interesante! Lo mejor fue explorar una área muy bonita, pero era extremadamente agotador.

En el futuro, me gustaría que mi instituto fuera uno que sea (wrong verb, once the correct phrase is used) reciente con el tiempo (up-to-date = actualizado/al día) y tener (missing a conjunction and the verb needs to be conjugated) la tecnología más moderna, permitir (missing a conjunction and the verb needs to be conjugated - it should be followed by 'poder obtener') (missing a preposition) los alumnos puedan obtener las mejores oportunidades.

Thanks for the help, even though don't fully understand it. I have the speaking test tomorrow morning.

Sorry, what do you mean by "missing an article"? And in the last section my uncongugated verbs are deliberately so; in order to translate as "to do" something?

Missing an article means that before the noun there should be a definite article.

Your unconjugated verbs have to be conjugated, in order to have an agreement with the conjugation you used at the start of the sentence. Or, change "y" for a preposition that indicates a purpose, so infinitives would make sense.
