People,

How would you express "cripple minded" in Spanish?

You know, somebody who is so suspicious, mean, cruel and undignified that, when you try to explain that there are nice people in the world who are happy to help others, and who don't like to tell lies and such; that the cripple minded person just cannot believe the truth and won't admit it and insists that everyone has an angle or some motive that they are hiding, et cetera.

You would say: "Well, he is so cripple-minded that he just can't fathom it."

Sombody such as the character Uriah Heep in David Copperfield by Charles Dickens; cripple minded.

It seems you can use lisiado. This describes psychological impairment as well as physical damage/impairment. Another word might be 'paranoide' or 'paranoico'.
Or you can spell it out-"won't admit/believe the truth," "thinks there's always a hidden angle or motive."

Rusty,

Thanks for the help.

It seems that they don't say it that way in Español, though. I think that I would just have to explain it out, as you said.

I give a couple of additional ideas...

"Well, he is so cripple-minded that he just can't fathom it."

These are commonly used as synonyms for "idiota", but they also may imply some ill will.
