Cisco

People,

I believe that, in English, "Cisco" used to be slang usage for Francisco or, more specifically, San Francisco was referred to as Cisco.

But the generally accepted abbreviation for Francisco is Paco.

But does Cisco existe in Spanish as an abreviation for Francisco?

Or is that pure television stuff picked up from O. Henry?

Thanks in advance.

Dean
