I need to write in English the following:

ácido + base = sal + agua

acid + ?? = salt + water

there are acids and bases in english, so I guess base is the answer to the riddle

It is base in English too (to rhyme with face)

It was so direct that I was wondering if it could be that easy. I just added it for "fluff" so to speak.
