Don't you go monolingual about dictionaries? :-o
Just one, we cherish it here in Spain Diccionario Ideológico de la lengua española. De la palabra a la idea, de la idea a la palabra. Julio Casares This is the dictionary journalists and writers have at home. It reminds me of an english one called 'Word Menu' Cheers ![]() |

¡Hola a todos!
The dictionary that I use the most is the Oxford unabridged Spanish-English-Spanish, and that is because I've bought it for my mobile phone, and therefore have it readily available. Also, I find that it's very good regarding explaining in what contexts you use the different terms, and this is important. I've also used Harper-Collins online, and I think it's a pretty close race between the two on overall quality, breadth and depth. If neither give me an answer, I try the RAE dictionary, then jergasdehablahispana and/or asihablamos. If I'm still coming up short, wikipedia and google. I also have other dictionaries available, but I find that this is my normal procedure overall. Saludos ![]()
