walking back
Ok, I need to say "we were walking back to the mall." The closest I can get is
Nosotros estabamos caminando al ____. Any help?

Re: walking back
Hey Johnny,
I'm not a native speaker of Spanish, but I think you could say, "Estábamos regresando el centro comercial." "Estábamos regresando al 'mall'." I've heard both centro comercial and mall, like in English but with a Latin Flare. Also, instead of "regresando" you could say "volviendo"- both mean "returning". Hope this helps!

Re: walking back
"Estábamos regresando el centro comercial."
Sounds good to me.

Re: walking back
Careful, "al", not "el". "al" is a contraction of "a el" (to the).
I'd say "Estábamos volviendo al centro comercial" or "Íbamos de vuelta al centro comercial". "Mall" is not used here. |

Re: walking back
Yeah, living in Texas I hear a lot of "Tex-Mex" Spanish. Sometimes it's easier and sometimes just plain old confusing!!
