Re: estoy en trabajo
If the inbox is always empty would it be "es vacio"? Thanks.

No soy experto, pero personalmente usaría siempre 'está'. Además, ¿porque se tendría una dirección de correo electrónico si no se recibe correo electrónico?

The inbox is empty
La bandeja de entrada está vacía If the inbox is always empty would it be "es vacio"? Should be, but you can never tell. So you still say "está vacía". To be always empty is very difficult, so you heard rarely "es vacío". "es vacío" is only for philosophy or maths, and some special physics or astronomy. For example with happy "feliz" you can say "El está feliz" He is happy (now) "El es feliz" He is (always) happy. With "vacío" is more difficult. Hope it hepls |

So basically if it's something that has the potential of filling up or not always being empty, it would be "ésta"-- even if up to the moment, it has always been empty right?

I guess so. I'm sure that if it's a debatable usage, no-one would really pick you up on it anyway.
