A question about the necessity of "por"
Hello, I'm new to the forum. I have a grammar question about whether it NECESSARY to use "por" in the following sentence:
"fui una semana con mi familia a la playa". Thanks, ML |

If you mean, I spent a week at the beach with my family you can use fuí por una semana a la playa con... More often you would say pasé una semana a la playa con mi familia.

@ML: No, it's not necessary. Actually, it's more natural to say it without the preposition.
