I would advise to write in your native language first what you want to say. That will put a frame on what and how you are thinking.

both of us = ambos or nosotros dos (us two)

They paid for the 4 for us to go = (ellos) pagaron para que nosotros 4 fuéramos

pagaron para que nosotros 4 pudíeramos ir = they paid for the 4 of us could go
