Frecuentamente se usa en el condicional.
I would venture to say that climate change is largely due to the technology of the past 150 years. En otras palabras decir algo que aunque no probado parece casi seguro. ¿Se puede decir con el mismo significado: Me atrevo decir que.... ?

Me atrevería a decir que sí... pero mejor "atrevería" que "atrevo"...
