El que la/lo sigue la/lo consigue

El que la/lo sigue la/lo consigue

Este dicho se usa cuando nos gusta alguien, y perseveramos hasta conseguir a la persona, bien sea con artimañas o bien a fuerza de hacerse amigos. Se usa tambien para puestos de trabajo etc.. Me interesaría saber como se dice en inglés en diferentes contextos. Gracias.

He who persues it, achieves it.
He who goes after it, gets it.

My school motto was "aude et prevaelebis" which means something like:

"Dare and you will succeed"
Our school badge was a golden fleece,
which looked like a hanging sheep.

Our version of the motto was:

"Its better to be hanged for a sheep than for a lamb!"

That's good, but it can have either negative or positive connotations. I think "el que lo sigue lo consigue" would only have a positive connotation.

I would just say something like: "Keep at it, you'll eventually get what you're working for".
