El uso de ocurrir(se)?
Creo que 'ocurrir' en español normalmente significa 'to occur' (i.e. to happen) o 'to occur to (someone)' en inglés - ¿es correcto?
-- more or less: How did it happen to him to do that/ How could he have done that (??)// How did he end up doing that (??) or: How did it occur to him to do that? ' ¿Cómo se le ocurrió hacerlo?' -- How dare he do that..?? (By the way would this be like: What (on earth) was he thinking, doing that..? ) ¿O me equivoco?

De acuerdo a RAE, it means "to come to your mind". In other words, to think...

It occurs to me, that we use the same construction in English.
