Desaparecer de la parrilla
I know from context that it means to disappear from the agenda/to remove from the schedule.
Is it international?

"parrilla"? Isn't that a grill? Hearing that word takes my mind instantly to my friends' yard in rural Uruguay, eating beef and "choriqueso" and other delicious meats!! I don't know anything about idiomatic use of the word.....

I only hear it here in Argentina as "desaparecer de la parrilla (de programación)" or "poner en la parrilla de los miércoles" always referring to TV schedules. It looks TV jargon for me.

Not used in Spain.
Here we say " Desaparecer del mapa" when someone or something dissapears without leaving a trace. Parrilla in Spanish is a grill , a BBQ or also the alignment of the cars or motorbikes at the start of a race. |

Correct, but this is rather a translation for grid.
"Parrilla" in radio and television, is used as Alec said, for "programación" because the list of the programs by day and hour looks like a grid. Btw, in American football, sometimes narrators talk about the "emparrillado" instead of "cancha", because of the lines along the field.
