El tiempo

Normalmente veo en los libros de gramáticas que lo corecto decir el tiempo es con el verbo "hacer'. Por ejemplo: ¿Qué tiempo hace? o Hace frio, hace calor... Pero oigo mis amigos latinos dicen ¿Cómo está el tiempo? Está frio o está calor. ¿Quál es corecto?

I agree with Rusty. We say "¿qué tiempo hace?". Although we can say, as well: "el tiempo está loco.

Rusty tiene razón. "Hacer" es lo correcto. Aunque se puede preguntar "¿Cómo está el tiempo?", no se puede decir "está calor". Lo correcto es decir que "hace frío" o "hace calor"...
Se puede responder "el clima está frío" o "está caluroso", pero en este caso, "frío" y "caluroso" son adjetivos, no sustantivos, como en el caso de "hacer frío o calor".
