I want to know in a paragraph like the one below, which type of "past" you use.
Here is my attempt.

"Cuando estuve embarrazada con Adrian, cada vez que veía un recién nacido, pensaba...."

Quoting posts seems to be broken: it doesn't work on 2 different computers using 2 different versions of MS Windows and 2 different browsers.

In this sentence, "estuve" (preterit) isn't compatible with "veía" (imperfect).
