I agree-- you're not going to get much accuracy without some context. Can you put it in a sentence or at least explain what it refers to?

With no context, how about colocación protectiva?

Right. I focused it on medical terms and you did on Labor Market terms. :-)

Could it be related to a "servicio de guardaespaldas"

¿Me entiendes?

Gracias de antemano!

If there is a hospital involved, it's rather "problemas psiquiátricos".

"Internamiento involuntario"/"hospitalización involuntaria" o "internamiento obligatorio"/"hospitalización obligatoria"

(It depends on the legal system and the rules of each hospital)

When a person is in protective placement, that person cannot sign themselves out of the hospital or discharge themselves. So the hospitalization is against their will.

Would I still use.......internamiento involuntario?

Gracias de antemano!
