confused with ME!!

wht is the difference between the two sentences?

Yo me levanto a las siete y media.
Yo levanto a las siete y media..

Why in the 1st sentence it has me, while in the second sentence no me? what is the use of me in the 1st sentence?

Thanks in advance...

Hola Herminone:

I pick-up (lift) at seven thirty....what do you pick-up or lift?

etc....etc...

levantarse means get up or wake up....

me levanto i wake up

levantar (with out the reflexive se ending) means to lift

Buenos Dias Benjas:

Creo que .....

wake up (awaken) = despertar

Levantar = lift, raise, erect (like a building)
