Ah yes, but think of can equal remember. Think about is not a verb of remembering. Sorry, I can't think of () a general rule.

I think Perikles is just pointing out that we'd be much more likely to say,
This is the ward for premature children. than This is the ward where the premature children/children born prematurely are.

I guess for antes de tiempo you can also say, before finishing his/her available time.
