Mayor relieve

En el resto de la Península predominarán los cielos pocos nubosos mientras que en Canarias se verán muchas nubes en el norte de las islas, con posibilidad de alguna lluvia débil, más probable en las de mayor relieve, y poco nubosos en el sur.

I’m looking for help with this expression:
…más probable en las de mayor relieve…

Could it mean:
more likely in those with less relief.

I’m not entirely sure what the ‘las’ refers to here.

I think it must mean "more likely in those islands (las islas) which are more rugged/mountainous". Some islands are hilly/mountainous, (e.g.Tenerife) but some are quite flat (e.g. Fuerteventura), so that some get rain, others might not. This tends to be a pattern - Tenerife has its own water in aquifers fed by rain in the north, but Fuerteventura has no natural water.

las is functioning as a pronoun referring to las islas.
