Your sentences are correct, except that Spanish characters like accents, "ñ" and question/exclamation marks at the start of sentences are very important. You can insert them using the "Accents" drop down menu on top of posting boxes. Can you try writing your sentences again with those special characters?

Have a look in a dictionary. You'll see accents written over the vowels in some words, like música. Whenever you write that word, the accent must appear over the letter u. There are many rules about accenting words. You'll find a good Spanish description here. You can find other threads here in the forums that talk about some of the same things in English (use search and type in esdrújulas).
In addition to the special characters you just added, the interrogative in a question is accented. So, qué should be typed in your last questions. Read up on accents, and then ask your questions. Here is a good English description of when accents are needed. Last edited by Rusty; July 19, 2010 at 08:42 PM. Reason: added link to English description of accented words |

I give you here a couple of examples, Yo tocaba el piano, pero hace mucho que no practico. Tocar el piano es ahora más difícil para mí. Aunque me gustaría tener tiempo para practicarlo...

I'm not sure if it's right to do this, but while "I give you here a couple of examples" is correct, it doesn't really sound right and there's other ways to phrase it. |

Then you said something along the lines of how long have I played the guitar or how much time do I practice the guitar. I dont know. I am confused with the word llevas. What does it mean. |

You guessed the correct meaning: How long have you been playing the guitar?
The phrase that has you stumped is 'llevar tiempo'. Notice I said phrase. Both words together can mean 'to take/spend time', but the way it was used can only be translated idiomatically. Good job. |
