To say I missed my amigos de la oficina, compañeros de oficina, how can we say in English?
I missed my office friends. I missed my workmates. |

I would say:
I missed my friends at the office. I missed my friends at work. Workmates is BrE. So is work chums. You may hear Americans saying 'buddies', 'buds', 'pals', 'peeps', or 'homies' instead of 'friends'. The first three can be commonly heard. The others are used by certain groups, so be cautious. You can also say 'the guys' ('the gals'), 'the gang', or 'the group' instead of 'my friends'. It's assumed that these people were your friends. Last edited by Rusty; January 27, 2011 at 06:07 PM. |
