How can I say in spanish: "to pull a person's ears" [ when someone makes something wrong or due to bad behavior]? Thank you. Regards Jan |

we have a direct translation
"tirar de las orejas" -Juan, pórtate bien o te tiraré de las orejas -John, be good or I will pull your ears Saludos

In Mexico we don't use the verb "tirar", but "jalar" as "to pull": "jalarle las orejas a alguien"/"darle a alguien un jalón de orejas".

Actually I've never heard this expression in English before - is it in use in the US? It is, however, in common use here in Spain, so I think I would agree with Chileno and deduce that the origin is probably Spanish ;-)
