Past subjunctive & pronouns

Is it necessary to add the direct object pronouns for past subjunctive like:

Te aconsejé que hicieras nada y descansaras.

The pronoun you highlighted is an indirect object pronoun and it is properly placed in front of the main verb. It is not repeated in the secondary clause. The secondary clause, by the way, is the direct object of the verb.
