Exclamation Buscarse la vida

Can I translate this saying like "get a life" ?
Sabe buscarse la vida - He knows how to take care of himself
Paso de ayudarlo, que se busque la vida - I´m not gonna help him, let him get a life ???

Get a life es un dicho muy común in inglés y parece igual a buscarse la vida. Quisiera saber si se usa afuera de España.

PD Sabe buscarse la vida se puede decir en inglés he's/she's made a life for himself/herself.

Sabe buscarse la vida is more: he knows how to take care of/look after himself.

Cuando le dices a alguien: ¡Búscate la vida! quieres decir: You do it/Do it yourself. (I'm not doing it for you ó I'm not going to help you).

Pero get a life! no es lo mismo que buscarse la vida.
Get a life! creo que se usa más para decirle a alguien que sus ideas o pensamientos son, en la opinión de quien habla, un aburrimiento, frívolas, pasadas de moda, triviales, que pasa demasiado tiempo pensando en cosas banales. Es una expresión despectiva.

Clearly get a life is big put-down. So, búscate la vida isn't, rught?

Can you say:
¿Me puedes arreglar mi coche?
No, búscate la vida y arréglalo tú.

Seriously I wouldn't know how to use búscate la vida in a sentence.

Es perfecto. Una frase perfecta, in that case maybe do it yourself as Ambar suggested.
