compound verbs?

compound verbs?

Hola......

Necesito su ayuda, por favor.

En ingles uno puede usar un verbo, agregarle otra palabra e inmediatamente tiene un significado diferente.

Por ejemplo:

run - correr PERO

run-around
run into
runaway
etc.....

Ya la palabra run no tiene el mismo significado. Mi amiga dice que estos son compound verbs. Is this correct? Or does the verb become something else?

Estoy muy confundida.......

HELP!!

For grammar, better ask tomisimo
perhaps this may help "verbos compuestos"
