¿Reconocen esta canción?

Aquí estamos to' los negros
que venimos a rogar,
que nos concedan permiso
para cantar y bailar...

¡Ay Mamá Inés, ay Mamá Inés,
todos los negros tomamos café!

Pero Belén, Belén, Belén,
a dónde anda tú metía
que en to' Jesús María
yo te busqué y no te encontré...

Ay, chico,
Si yo estaba en casa 'e madrina
que ayer me mando a buscar,
en el solar de la esquina,
que ella vive en el manglar...

¡Ay Mamá Inés, ay Mamá Inés,
todos los negros tomamos café!
_____

Es cubana, pero quizás uds. puedan ayudarme definir dos palabras.
Metía? Manglar?
Me encanta la canción, pero no comprendo totalmente estas dos partes.

A manglar is a Mangrove swamp, if that helps As far as metía, it doesn't make a lot of grammatical sense, unless the phrase is transcribed wrong or something. Maybe a native speaker can help more.

sosia has a spectacular aura aboutsosia has a spectacular aura about
"Mama Inés" is a know song, especially the refrain (chorus?? )
It's a tango with elements from conga (a "tango congo")
from the cuban componist Eliseo Grenet Sánchez.

"Pero Belén, Belén, Belén,
a dónde anda tú metía
que en to' Jesús María
yo te busqué y no te encontré... "

"Pero Belén Belén Belén
a donde andas tú metida (en [dónde estás] tú metida)
en to(do) Jesús María (en el barrio Jesús María)
yo te he buscado y no te he encontrado.
"

"a dónde anda tu metía (metida)" means "en donde estás tú metida".
"Where are you insert?" meaning "where are you hidden?"
"where are you hidden, y looked for you and didn't found you"

manglar it's a swamp, so I think Tomisimo's answer it's more accurate.(I don't know what's a Mangrove swamp ).
A manglar it's a tropical swamp, like the ones in New Orleans.

Hope it helps
