quebradizo (adjective) — fragile, brittle, delicate. Look up quebradizo in the dictionary

Después de pasar tiempo en el sol, muchos productos de plástico se vuelven quebradizos.
Many plastic products become brittle after being in the sun.

I'd say brittle is the correct translation of quebradizo.

He visto la palabra , pero no recuerdo dónde.

¿Es de un verbo que significa lo contrario de "endurecer"?

En su juventud la gran casa era muy fuerte pero hace mucho tiempo ha revelado que no es durable porque se ha vuelto quebradizo / se ha quebrado.

La juventud es de seres vivos

Cuando era nueva, la casa grande era muy fuerte, pero hace mucho tiempo que se ha descubierto que no puede durar porque está en ruinas.

La casa grande es una de tamaño grande.
La gran casa es una casa importante (normalmente se refiere a una familia importante). Por ejemplo, una gran casa real (de la realeza).

Yo no diría que una casa es quebradiza, sino que está en ruinas o en muy mal estado.
