Moliner da para "de punta a punta".
de punta a punta De un extremo al otro de una cosa. Creo que es un uso típico del español ibérico... y en este caso en el sentido que le da Robindesbois, me parece un significado local o localizado, casi de la jerga, supongo que de Madrid. Yo diría "estábamos sentados cada uno en una punta del cine"... o "cada vez que nos teníamos que decir algo nos llamábamos desde una punta a la otra"...
