@Poli: Por supuesto... para expresarse en otro idioma casi hay que cambiar la forma en la que uno piensa, sobre todo, porque los recursos retóricos son diferentes de una lengua a la otra. Los énfasis y hasta la actitud corporal y el tono de voz se vuelven diferentes para que la comunicación sea efectiva.

Sí, yo uso mi lengua más con el español que el inglés, y yo pronuncio los "d"'s más como "th" de inglés. Pero supongo que no sonaría bien si no, porque el acento americano es muy obvio y embarazoso :P
Hay un cierto cambio de mente, porque mucho de la sintaxis entre las lenguas cambia también.

Not all American accents sound like John Wayne speaking Spanish.
Have you ever heard Nat King Cole sing in Spanish? It sounds pretty good.
Geraldine Chaplin's accent sounds good too, and Eydie Gorme also (I'm not sure if she was or is Hispanic, but she sang with a slight American accent that was very popular in Latin America.)

You may never lose your English or American accent, but that may not necessarily be a bad thing.
