Seguir a alguien la corriente

I agree with Elaina, and I give you some more variations, dejarse arrastrar or llevar por la corriente to go along with o follow the crowd; ir or nadar or navegar contra (la) corriente to swim against the tide; seguirle la corriente a alguien to humor somebody, play along with somebody.
It is like "pleasing somebody." Moliner gives, Llevar [o seguir] la corriente a alguien. Asentir a lo que él dice, hacer lo que él quiere o no oponerse a lo que quiere hacer. Complacer. (Depending on your context "to humor somebody" may be the best choice.)

The 'to play along with someone' entry was already in our idiom dictionary as a translation of 'seguirle la corriente a alguien'. I just added 'to humor someone' as another translation.
I also added the other excellent idiomatic expressions in JPablo's post. Good job!
