Doorknob (Round in Shape)
What is the word that is used for a round doorknob for a Mexican audience? I am not speaking of a doorknob that has a handle like a manija or agarradera. I am speaking of a round doorknob as in the image. Perilla? I understand this word to be any kind of knob, but is it also a proper word for a round doorknob? Pomo? I have heard this word used in place of "frasco" or "botella" in parts of Mexico, but is it also a proper word for a round doorknob? Picaporte? I think of this word as more of a latch-type knob, but is it also a round doorknob? |
