Spanish sign language??

When my son was 11 months old I taught him the sign for "more", so he could use his hands and not always his voice...(mainly for MY benefit,for sure!)

Well, the other day my friend told me that in Mexico there is a whole different system for sign language. Is this true? Just curious, and figured someone here would know.
