Light at the end of the tunnel

Significa que hay esperanza. ¿Existe un modismo en español con el mismo significado?

Is "hay luz en el fin del túnel" said as a general maxim reflecting a positive mental attitude, or is it said for a specific circumstance when something positive has actually happened? I ask because in English, it is always the latter.

Generalmente se dice "siempre hay luz al final/en el fin del túnel"

No hay que perder la esperanza.

It remind me the live and the dead.

The light at the end of the tunnel sound more that is the dead after of the light.
But it sound more the hopefulness in the life.

Never loss the hopefulness at the end the light.

"Hay luz al final del camino" Is what I thought when I read the post.
"Hay luz al final del túnel"
As chileno said, almost always the word "siempre" would likely be there, at the beggining (this sentence...)
