Responde al nombre de ...

At least in Argentina, when a pet or trained animal is lost to its masters they print those typical ads with a photo and basic info, which always includes "responde al nombre de (Puppy)", that means, if you call it (Puppy) the animal will recognize it as something related to itself.

This comes from the fact that only apes can fathom the concept of "my name", that's why we favour expressing the notions as "the animal reacts when it's called (Puppy)".

Is there something equivalent in English? What do the ads usually say?
