Poner pegas

Poner pegas

I know it means to create obstacles, but I just came across it. It seems like a good term to know and I never knew it.

En Chile poner pega es ponerle afán, ahínco, bríos.

Ir a la pega es ir a trabajar.

Nada de eso es español. Oops fui al RAE y esta aceptado como trabajo.

Entonces pone pega Chile parece poner las pilas. Entonces poner pegas en Chile no siginfica poner obstáculos.

A proposito, a mi poner pega y poner pegas suena diferente.

"ponerle pega" = echarle ganas.

ponerse las pilas = start moving, get in gear, right?

Nosotros no usamos ese término para decir "poner trabas", ni sabía que existía.

Me imagino que es el plural en el caso de usarlo como obstáculo.
